Iva Klemm                                                                                                                      Owner

Born in Zatec, Czech Republic. Iva Svandova Klemm graduated from West Bohemian University with a bachelor degree in philosophy, moved to the US in 1999 and married hi-tech business owner Kevin Klemm right before the dotcom bust. As Kevin transitioned into real estate, Iva stayed busy raising daughters Rachel and Emily but yearned to get into business. Their entrepeneurial ways brought them to the Bay Area in 2003, where they settled in Mountain View and added Kevin Jr. (2005) to the family. In her spare time Iva set up Bay Area Maids in 2005. Iva enjoys growing her business, cleaning, playing cello, reading and spending time with her husband Kevin and children.

Erika Retana Ortiz                                                                                                       General Manager

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica. Erika Retana Ortiz left to work in human resources on a large cruise ship and traveled the world, eventually landing in the Bay Area in 2005 and joined Bay Area Maids in 2007. She has brought energy, enthusiasm and bilingual skills to the company and is currently a partner and general manager. In her spare time she keeps up with gymnastics and school activities of her 4-year old daughter Dylara. Erika enjoys dancing, music, reading and of course, keeping everything clean!
